Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs (beaten)

1½ cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for greasing
Instructions:

Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease a baking dish with olive oil. -
Prepare the chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Dredge each breast first in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. -
Bake the chicken
Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Lightly drizzle olive oil on top and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy. -
Add marinara and cheese
Remove the chicken from the oven. Spoon marinara sauce over each breast, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. -
Finish baking
Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. -
Serve
Garnish with fresh basil and serve with a side of pasta or a green salad.
