Ingredients:

4 salmon fillets (skin-on)

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 tbsp unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tbsp lemon zest

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:

Season the salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper. -
Sear the salmon
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side down, and cook for 4–5 minutes. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and the skin is crispy. -
Make the lemon butter sauce
Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside. In the same pan, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, cooking for another 2 minutes. -
Serve
Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets and garnish with fresh dill or parsley. -

Serve the salmon with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
