6 apples (peeled and sliced)

½ cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp cornstarch
Crumble topping

1 cup flour

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup cold butter (cubed)

½ cup rolled oats

½ tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat oven
Heat oven to 180°C (350°F). -
Prepare apple filling
In a bowl mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. -
Place in baking dish
Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish. -
Make crumble topping
In another bowl mix flour, oats, sugar, and salt. -
Add butter
Rub cold butter into the mixture with fingers until crumbly. -
Top apples
Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly over apples. -
Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. -
Cool slightly
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. -
Serve
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
