Ingredients
For the meat sauce

500 g ground beef

1 onion (chopped)

3 garlic cloves (minced)

2 cups tomato sauce

1 cup crushed tomatoes

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

Salt and pepper to taste
For the cheese mixture

2 cups ricotta cheese
-
1 egg
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

12 lasagna noodles
Instructions

Cook noodles
Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. -
Prepare meat sauce
In a pan cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. -
Add vegetables
Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes. -
Add tomatoes
Stir in tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. -
Season
Add oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. -
Prepare cheese mixture
In a bowl mix ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan. -
Assemble lasagna
In a baking dish spread a layer of meat sauce. -
Add layers
Add noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella cheese, and more sauce. -
Repeat layers
Continue layering until ingredients are used. -
Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
